From the airport to Charlottesville: Straight at the airport exit on Airport Rd. (Rt 606). Right at the first traffic light on Rt. 29. Eight miles into town.

Getting there: Rte. 29 North eight miles, left on Airport Rd. (Rt 606)

In addition, the Richmond Airport is about one hour away and Dulles International and Reagan National airports, located in the Northern Virginia and Washington, D.C., area respectively, are about two hours away.

By Car

From the Northeast: From the Beltway around Washington, D.C., take I-66 West to second Rt. 29 exit (at Gainesville). Go south on Rt. 29 until you reach Charlottesville. Go under the 250 Bypass, pass Barracks Road Shopping on your right, pass John Paul Jones Arena on your right; at the intersection of 29 and Ivy Road, you will see the campus straight ahead.

From the South: Take I-64 West from I-95 in Richmond, or come up by Rt. 29 North from Greensboro, NC. Either way, take Rt. 29 North to the Ivy Rd. exit. At the third stoplight (corner of Ivy Road and Rte 29) you will see the campus straight ahead.

From the West: Take I-64 East, or take the Pennsylvania Turnpike, I-81 South and I-64 East.
